Sektion for Kvantitativ Farmakologi

PopSim er et netværk for forskere og studerende med interesse i kvantitativ farmakologi, herunder pharmacometrics og PK-PD modellering af lægemidler. PopSim afholder faglige eftermiddagsmøder med varierende temaer, der kan skabe inspiration og debat hos vores medlemmer og andre med interesse for feltet.

Sektionens formål er at fremme den videnskabelige udvikling af kvantitative metoder i farmakologien, herunder at oplyse om og understøtte anvendelsen af

  • Matematisk-statistiske modeller til farmakokinetik (PK), farmakodynamik (PD), PK-PD og exposure-respons analyse af lægemidler, sygdomsudvikling og biomarkører
  • Modeller til at understøtte valg af klinisk dosis, herunder patientspecifik dosering samt skalering af dosis fra non-klinik til klinik
  • Simulering af non-kliniske og kliniske forsøg mhp. optimering af forsøgsdesign
  • Kvantitative modeller til regulatoriske formål
  • Modeller der belyser lægemidlers farmakologiske virkning

Samt at udvikle et netværk mellem akademia, industri og regulatoriske institutioner indenfor den kvantitative farmakologi

Section for Quantitative Pharmacology

PopSim is a network for researchers and students with an interest in quantitative pharmacology, including pharmacometrics and PK-PD modeling of drugs. PopSim hosts professional afternoon meetings with varying themes that can inspire and encourage discussion among our members and others interested in the field.

The purpose of the Section is to promote the scientific development of quantitative methods in pharmacology, including raising awareness of and supporting the application of

  • Mathematical-statistical models for pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), PKPD, and exposure-response analysis of drugs, disease progression, and biomarkers
  • Models to support the selection of clinical dosing, including patient-specific dosing and scaling of doses from non-clinical to clinical applications
  • Simulation of non-clinical and clinical trials for the purpose of optimizing trial design
  • Quantitative models for regulatory purposes
  • Models that illuminate the pharmacological effects of drugs

Additionally, to develop a network between academia, industry, and regulatory institutions within quantitative pharmacology.
